The lymphatic's primary function is to create immune cells. The system also helps to shuttle away fluids from tissue in the body, as well as absorb fat and move that fat to the circulatory system. Unlike the heart, the lymphatic system does not have a pump to aid in its flow, instead this system requires movement. The lymphatic system is designed so that lymph only flows upward through the body traveling from the extremities (feet and hands) and upward through the body toward the neck. |
HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM...
The lymphatic system is twice the size of the circulatory system, it plays a crucial role in the body’s ability to ward off illnesses and recover from diseases. Like the cardiovascular system, movement is key to its optimal functioning, and sluggishness leads to its failure.
Most of us are unaware that our bodies contain four times as much lymph fluid as blood. However our lymphatic system, which is also our immune system, does not have a pump like the heart does, and therefore needs movement to keep the liquid in motion, in continuous circulation. If we do not provide it with enough movement, excess levels of toxins actually clutter the lymphatic system and "poisons" our cells. In some places the lymph fluid actually crystallizes into cellulite, which many of us know is hard to eliminate.
The lymphatic system
plays an integral role in the immune functions of the body. It is the
first line of defense against disease. The lymphatic system governs the
body's immune system that normally makes the proteins, called
antibodies, to protect the body against viruses, bacteria, and other
foreign material. The lymphatic system is critical to the body's surveillance against Cancer, HIV and AIDS. |
When the lymphatic
system becomes stagnant with cellular wastes, dietary fats, and toxins,
the usually-clear lymphatic fluid becomes thick with mucus. The failure
of the lymphatic system leads to a wide variety of health issues, from
headaches to cancer. If the activity of the lymphatic system is stopped, death occurs within 24 - 36 hours.
Studies show rebounding power boosts your lymphatic system/immune system activity 20 to 30 fold, activating and multiplying your
white blood cells to search for "enemies". Once rebounding is stopped
the white cell activity continues active for almost an hour, like little
"pac-man" searching and destroying enemies, after about an hour the
count of the white blood cells is reduced to normal levels, and they
retreat to wait till the next time they are needed. No other exercise boosts your immune system as rebounding does.
Rebound for the benefit of your health!
